Welcome to Muve — moving, finally simplified
Why we built Muve, how it works, and what to expect on launch day (6/28). 100% free, forever — here's the why behind it.
By The Muve team
A few years ago, one of us moved cross-country with two kids, a dog, and a 4-week runway. The week before move day, the power got switched off at the wrong address, the moving company arrived with a smaller truck than quoted, and the spreadsheet that was supposed to track everything had been opened on three different laptops and silently diverged.
That move didn't have to be that bad. There just wasn't a tool that actually thought about the whole move — the timeline, the budget, the small decisions that compound into a stressful move day. So we built one.
What Muve actually does
Muve turns the 50+ tasks of a real move into a single, focused plan tailored to your situation:
- Three-minute intake. Where you're moving from, where you're going, when, buy or rent, who's coming. That's it. Optional questions (lease details, schools, pets, budget knobs) live in the Day-2 enhancement hub so you're not blocked on Day 1.
- Tap MuveMe. Our AI builds a personalized timeline + budget + readiness score in about 8 seconds. The plan is tuned to your runway — a buyer 90 days out gets a different plan than a renter moving in 3 weeks.
- One focus, every day. The Home screen shows just the next manageable step plus a real-time countdown. Notifications meet you when they're useful (30 days out for packing, 14 days for trip planning, 7 days to lock in move day) instead of cluttering the app.
- My Home keeps working after move day. Every appliance, warranty, manual, and recall alert — for every home you ever live in. Your Muve plan ends; My Home doesn't.
Why Muve is — and will stay — 100% free
We made a deliberate decision before launch: no paid plans, no premium tier, no in-app purchases, no credit card required. Every Muve user gets the same fully unlocked product, every move.
How we sustain it: we share anonymized, aggregated relocation insights with commercial partners across the moving lifecycle — moving companies, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, utility setup services, home and renter insurance, and moving supplies. These insights are about trends (city-level move volume, average budget bands by metro, timing windows) — never about you as an individual. We do not sell your name, email, address, or any directly identifying personal information.
Put another way: the relocation industry already spends billions trying to reach the right movers at the right moment. We help them do that with trend data, and in exchange your move plan is free. The full details are on the new How Muve stays free page and in Privacy Policy §6.
What launch day looks like
We go live on June 28, 2026. Here's exactly what happens:
- The Muve iPhone app shows up in the App Store with every feature unlocked. Search "Muve" or tap the link in the launch-day email.
- Everyone on the waitlist gets one short email with the App Store link and a 60-second install guide. No spam, no fluff.
- The TestFlight beta keeps running for a few more weeks for early testers — your plan migrates over to the public app automatically when you install the App Store version.
If you're reading this and you haven't joined yet, drop your email in the box below — you'll get the launch-day note + a short weekly drip explaining what's coming, and that's it.
What's next on this blog
A few of the things we're working on:
- The real cost of moving — a breakdown of every category we estimate in the budget tool, with the assumptions behind them.
- The 14 things we learned watching real families use Muve in the beta — the surprises, the painful moments, what we shipped because of them.
- How the AI plan engine works — what your intake actually becomes, why a 30-day move and a 6-month move get very different timelines, and how we keep the plan honest as your move date shifts.
See you on launch day.
